Welcome

Huntsville Utility District was formed in 1957 to serve the water needs of the Huntsville area.  Since then, our role has expanded to serve the entire southern most portion of Scott County.  As well as providing a portion of the water used by Sunbright Utility District.

Now, Huntsville Utility District provides water to over 4,600 residential and business locations.

The first original acting officials of the district were:

• W.H. Swain, President
• James W. Baker, Secretary
• Daniel B. Walker, Member

The first acting manager was J.R. Hembree.
